This seems like the "right" place to note RSS - Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication.

There are two ways to use RSS.

1. Use an RSS reader. Google Reader is one to consider - accessible through your Gmail account - or reader.google.com. Take a look under Help at the "Learn More About Using Google Reader" section. The video tutorials might be especially helpful.

2. If one is at a site that offers RSS, one can save it to one's bookmark toolbar in FIREFOX (does not appear to work in Chrome or Safari). This allows you to scan titles of new posts, to see if there is one you might like.
  • Look for the orange image (View "feed-con.jpg" file in attachments below), at say, http://www.foxnews.com and click on it (scroll down, it is on the right side of the window).
  • You go to http://www.foxnews.com/rss/index.html. Here, I wanted something on Faith news and found it under Video news feeds (scroll down) to go to http://feeds.foxnews.com/foxnews/video/news/faith.
  • Now, in theupper right there is a box and an array of various readers to which one can connect. For this exercise, though, just select "View Feed XML" (it has the symbol to the right, again).
  • At the top of the next window(http://feeds.foxnews.com/foxnews/video/news/faith?format=xml), see Live Bookmarks (View LiveBookmarks.jpg" attachment below).
  • Click on the Subscribe Now button to add an RSS feed to the toolbar on your browser.
  • (Often the feed-icon button will lead directly to the LiveBookmarks and Subscribe Now button directly. FoxNews is a complex feed site.)
  • Now, back at your Firefox browser, clicking on the Faith RSS feed, see a dropdown list of titles for current Faith news videos.
